Pros

AT&T has good salary and benefits. The people I worked with are open, honest, and helpful. I loved telecommuting.

Cons

IT Operations is implementing a 'follow the sun' methodology. That means that at least two-thirds of the American jobs are going abroad (Eastern Europe and India). That means there is no future for two-thirds of the current system administrators and database administrators.

Pros

The Pay is great and benefits are good but they are slowing being taken away.

Cons

There is no sense of job security the past few years when outsourcing started. Jobs either go to Off Shore or they take a group and announce that they are now working for another company. These people are sitting in their same desk, doing the same job but now for another company with less benefits. After a year they are told that their salary is going to be lowered or they can look for another job. Raises don't even cover the cost of living. Senior management continues to receive high salaries, bonuses and stock rewards.
