Pros

They have good pay and benefits along with flexible schedules. The Company has been very good to me. Their tuition assistance paid for me to finish my degree. I get 3 weeks of actual vacation, and then 7 floating days (we call them funny days), that are basically the same as a vacation days for a total of 4.5 Weeks..

Cons

Very very very Big... which means it's hard for a company this size to be inovative or nimble. SBC became very sucessful for a reason. When SBC bought AT&T, it's like we threw away all the good things that made SBC successful, and adopted all the things that made AT&T a candidate to be bought. The merger was the right thing to do, but we lost all the right way of doing things for ways that seem beaurocratic, bloated, expensive, and slow. So now the question is "Who bought who?"

Pros

Steady compensation = don't worry about paycheck

Cons

BellSouth had a much better culture of respect for employees. Employees were empowered to make decisions. ATT is very title sensitive, you do not ask questions of people higher than you are - you must go up the "Food Chain".

Pros

Decent pay and worklife flexibility. The company has the resources to aquire the newest technology which keeps our jobs interesting. The network we have built for the customers is excellent and something for everyone to be proud of. If you have a good relationship with management then there is a strong possiblity for advancement.

Cons

The company is very disorganized in its structure. Multiple sw tools that do similar things for similar departments but the tools don't talk to each other, therefore groups cannot engage easily. Since the buyout of Cingular the company seems to have less heart and personality.
