Pros

Strong competitor, innovative products, fast paced, generally friendly environment. Co-workers are some of brightest around.

Cons

Company has become more hierarchical which inhibits communication. Now that the landline side of ATT has morphed some of its functions and systems into the wireless/mobility side - Turfism is on the rise. ATT/old school leadership operates as "good old boys network". Sharing is better among those who grew up on the wireless side of the company. Everyone needs to learn to play in the same sandbox better.

Pros

An international company which has dedicated and customer focused employees which tried to make the company work despite the flawed senior management.

Cons

* The "quarterly contract extensions": the quarterly knee jerk reaction to missed numbers by culling the herd. I understand the need to cut costs when needed but have a plan and a vision so that management make guided decisions where to cut cost and if needed staff. It makes it also possible to explain to people why they have been let go instead of being a percentage. * Simplistic and metrics driven view of the world: one of the former SVP referred to Europe as a whole as "just another state" which completely ignored the fact that AT&T is not a well known mass market incumbent but a the expensive premium brand and customers expect something more than a call center and customer number.. * forced distributions
