Pros

Eight to ten weeks of training are provided. Discounts (40%) on At&t products once you've been there for six months.

Cons

The management and union seem to have some conflict. You can't move into a different position until you've been there for a year. All benefits require a six month wait.

Pros

Working for AT&T is very nice as long as you get promoted from their call center position. So get in through call center and make yourself a career

Cons

Getting promoted from craft to management is kind of hard, its who you know regardless of the college degree you may possesed

Pros

Steady industry (not all that effected by the downturn in the economy), good stepping stone for those trying to get into sales

Cons

In the past two years, the commission structure has decreased by at least 30% while the quotas keep increasing. Scheduling is horrible for those that haven't worked there for a long tiime because preferential days off are awarded by seniority only. Customer satisfaction survey results are skewed because all sales rep get a 0 score if the customer does not give them a 5 out of 5...and you will be punished for these!
