Pros

I was treated well by my immediate boss. Lots of job security because it's such a large company. Plenty of training opportunities.

Cons

Too large to get recognition for important contributions. Small units, people are too complacent for me. No bous structure in place.

Pros

Good compensation coming in the door.

Cons

Communication not good with cross functional teams. Saw where senior level managers were not knowlegeable of their roles. Learn by doing attitude for some.

Pros

flexibility in schedule is nice. New technologies in a massive network are enticing. Scale of what we can deliver is unequalled.

Cons

AT&T is a consumer company with mobility services, so if you support enterprise "wireline" services you are not the favorite child. Unfortunately, the ability to think outside of the box is very rare. If you don't like the job you have, AT&T is a great launching pad to other jobs in or out of the company.
