Pros

Benefits are declining but better than some out there, sure beats obamacare!

Cons

Sales commission changes every 3-6 months, making it harder to hit goals and completely impossible in most markets to tier out and actually make good money. You will have a 10k-20k decline every year until it is the same workers as McDonalds or Burger King. Health care is still better than most but is rising quickly in cost each month with less benefits. Constant harassment from managers. Company policies popping up blatantly to get rid of the loyal, hardworking senior employees that make top end hourly rate to hire in new much lower paid workers. There has always been a high turnover rate with this company but all of the dedicated and motivated people have stayed, tried and true. This means nothing, we have made the company one of the most powerful and now the dog has turned on us to bite. It's very sad and disheartening

Pros

Decent pay and benefits. Union. Some discounts on services. Solid employment.

Cons

Poor/no work life balance. Poor management. Crap rolls down hill - guess who is at the bottom of said hill. Most promoting/moving is based on the good ole boy network. Rarely have 2 days off in a row.

Pros

Good amount of vacation time (10 vaca days, 8 PDOs...increases every 4 years or so). Most office positions are flexible about telecommuting. Good insurance

Cons

NO consistency across the organization. Promises made, but not fulfilled by management. Pay is SUPER low, especially for someone with a graduate degree. Job description was misleading. NOTHING is done to increase employee morale. No extra incentives for employees (ex, no coffee machine, no company Christmas party, no filtered water...little thing like this would show that the company cared about it's employees). Everyone you talk to , in different organizations and across the country, always complains about AT&T. Training was awful, not informative, did not prepare me for my job.
