We were not allowed to have merit-based raises, so in my 3 years, I was making less than entry-level employees because the rate at which entry-level salaries increased was much higher than the regular annual increase regular employees were allowed. typical huge company cons... very time-consuming and complicated to get anything done, get used to endless conf calls with a lot of participants for every project you work on. benefits are bad, and get worse (more expensive) every year... i pay what seems an enormous amount out of pocket for medical for a family, and the deductible is so huge i avoid going to the doctor still because its all out of pocket if it's not a physical... this may be typical for huge companies, but compares horribly to my peers at tech companies or smaller companies focused on attracting top employees.
