Having work experience at the place where the telephone was invented looks great on a resume if one wants to work in the Telecommunications field for entire career.

Cons

Other companies tend to think of former AT&T employees as people who aren't the most innovative or don't tend to think "outside the box"

Pros

Lots of capital, great brand, desire to succeed. Great people for the most part but needed stronger leadership to make the future happen.

Cons

Career can begin to fade, limited promotion opportunity. Too many people are "favorites" and they were quite incompetent. Didnt make the future happen...
