Great place to get practical machine design experience. Opportunity to work with a variety of projects and manufacturers. Co-workers are friendly and respectful. Honesty and the ability to admit mistakes are respected. Team based, so you will work closely with the same group of people.
Cons
Salaries may be lower than nationwide average, but cost of living is extremely low. This is a trade off. 50+ Hour work weeks are typical, with high variability based on the nature of contract work and economic factors. One con of the the team based approach is that each team leader acts like an independent employer.
