Pros

Good Benefits, good work-life balance.

Cons

Very little to no on board training. Was thrown into the wolves early which in my opinion for the work that is needed there should of been some sort of training process. Kind of felt I was being set up to fail. Also felt the rest of the office employees looked down on me because of my race. They were somewhat friendly but with the exception of a few people the rest were not so welcoming. I was the only non white person in the office so maybe I was hired to meet a quota.

Pros

Lots of work, and plenty of responsibility. You get to own your project and you can work on what you want as long as you have the enthusiasm to seek it out.

Cons

Work was primarily focused on Safety, Ergonomic improvements, and railing design

Too many office politics

Pros

This may be the safest company to work for on the planet. Safety is a serious issue with ATI, and is the number one core value. This is a company that wants you to leave in the same condition that you arrived. The 401k company match is well beyond most employers. Sick day policy is very modern and in touch with the current times. Flexible working hours are generally available, although not the official policy.

Cons

This is a "what have you done for me today?" IT culture. IT is viewed as overhead, not an asset. Raises are consistently below the cost of living. Bonus is average. No stock options for staff. No employee stock purchase program. The reward for working hard is more work. Additional responsibilities and the option to lead projects and learn new technology to add value to the business is rare. No formal way to obtain training. Health care seems to be high for what is covered. Vacation policy is not very current. No on-site gym or cafeteria. Standard beige office cubicle farm. Too many office politics. Excel seems to be the most valuable IT skill.
