Pros

ATI is a great place to work! The people are awesome. There is a mix of people that have been here for 20+ years and people like me who have been here under 2 years. The culture here is respect, kindness, safety and being part of a community. Like with any job it is up to you how engaged and motivated you are to be happy and successful, but my experience at ATI has been if you want to succeed you will! Even though we are a big company, all levels are respected and can make a difference.

Cons

It is hard for me personally to think of any cons, but I guess one thing that we are continuing to work on is process and procedures. Like with all companies I have worked for in my 25+ year career, ATI strives to get all of the processes written down and standardized. Sometimes it takes longer than we would like.

10+ years wasted at a terrible company

Pros

The 401k is decent and that's about it. Other than that, this place is all negative. When I started, the company was owned by a different outfit. From the day ATI took over, it went downhill fast.

Cons

When I started at the company, it was Pacific Cast Technologies. PCT was a fantastic place to work. Then ATI happened. As soon as ATI came in our insurance changed, the management changed, and worst of all the schedule changed. The 3 on 3 off shift is the worst. There is no reward for seniority and everyone works the same amount of weekends. If you enjoy time with your family, this shift will destroy that. Also, the pay is not equitable in all departments. There has not been a cost of living increase in years. I left the company because of the 3 on 3 off schedule, and I still keep in close contact with dear friends who work there. It appears the company is completely unwilling to change the shift despite repeated pleas and complaints and even suggestions of alternatives by senior skilled operators. This shows that ATI is willing to put it's employees second to it's ego and pride. Staying on this crappy shift has nothing to do with profitability, because ATI made more money with less people on the 4-10 schedule. Any company that is willing to lose money in order to prove a point and keep their people down is no company I want to work for.

Pros

Great place if you dislike your family. Lot's of opportunities if you have no morals. If you get lot's of certifications you will always have a job but make the same as someone with one cert. They promote under achiever's. ATI took the good benefits we had but at least we have some? You get to cheerfully work 12 hours a day on a super sweet 3 on 3 off rotation ( weekend w/ family every 5th & 6th rotation👿)

Cons

Need I say more after writing all of the wonderful pros ? Management loves to lie about changes to schedules or just change them on a whim. We haven't had cost of living raises for roughly 4 years. Our competitor across town used to be the bad place to work, now we are losing good talent to them. Our bonuses are less than half what they were before ATI.
