      Pros

      I enjoyed the work and the people. Most of the middle management is conscientious. They will thrive once business levels increase. They invested big time in their new Hot Rolling facility which was probably needed.

      Cons

      Upper management makes some stupid decisions IMHO. The lockout of 2015 achieved nothing except hurt business.

      Pros

      Great benefits mainly 401k contribution. Fortunately I had a great manager I worked for that made a good working environment for my department.

      Cons

      Working anywhere else in the plant is a negative atmosphere and no employee appreciation. Metals are currently worth nothing. However it would take 12 years to lose enough money to make it worth the $500 million in closing our plant and that is only if metals stayed at the currently lowest price seen in decades. Gave in to buy product from competitors over seas. This was a poor decision made by the CEO whether it be short or long term.

      Pros

      Good pay + benefits, knowledgeable employees. I had a great manager that was very helpful and did what he could to help me grow within the company. This was not the case for everyone though.

      Cons

      Definitely an old school mentality. If something goes wrong, a lot of focus is placed on determining who is responsible instead of working on solutions. I was accused several times of being responsible for mistakes that were not mine. This made for a very stressful work environment at times.
