      Negative atomsphere

      Pros

      Great benefits mainly 401k contribution. Fortunately I had a great manager I worked for that made a good working environment for my department.

      Cons

      Working anywhere else in the plant is a negative atmosphere and no employee appreciation. Metals are currently worth nothing. However it would take 12 years to lose enough money to make it worth the $500 million in closing our plant and that is only if metals stayed at the currently lowest price seen in decades. Gave in to buy product from competitors over seas. This was a poor decision made by the CEO whether it be short or long term.

      Pros

      At the Washington Plate Division, I felt that we had the appopriate level of mangement hands on/hands off supervision, and were allowed to deveop our own order/customer management style. Great group of Technical, Operations, Planning and Support poeple to work with.

      Cons

      I am not sure that upper upper management recognizes or appreciates the talent of the people working at this facility.
