      Decent job improving a plant that will feel like your own.

      Pros

      At least in my position, you have relative freedom to do what you want. There are projects and a lot of firefighting but when things aren't breaking down, you are free to pursue what you think will benefit the plant most.

      Cons

      Definitely a lot of firefighting. When there is an issue, you will be on call at any time. Also dealing with a Union is difficult sometimes as the priorities are not aligned. Business is heavily tied to commodities.

      Pros

      Very interesting work, workload is manageable. Management is good, plenty of training available to work on your skills.

      Cons

      Compensation is not super competitive after working a couple of years. However there are plans to fix this in the coming years.
