      Pros

      Pay and benefits That’s it. That’s all that is good.

      Cons

      USW under the companies thumb No outside life Treated with less value then the equipment Constantly degraded and mistreated 6 12 hour shifts forced to rotate with 24 hours off is the normal.

      Pros

      Great Pay, decent benefits, quarterly bonuses, lots of diverse jobs, most people are easy to work with and get along with.

      Cons

      The only real disadvantage is that it is 12 hour shifts, rotating schedule ( 3 days one week, 4 days the next week) but in many departments you will be required to work an extra day each week = 48 hours one week and 60 hours the next. It can get pretty difficult to maintain a normal family life with this schedule.
