Protected by the union. Steady job, rarely any layoffs. Not stuck with doing the same job every day. Good health care, pay, 401k, but only if you’re part of the union. Non union employees make less $ and have worse health insurance
Cons
Don’t work for the non union side of the company unless it’s in upper management
