Pros

If you like cannabis I guess you could think it's cool to help build a big canna brand, if you're into that.

Cons

No professional development opportunities or mentorship and you are completely expendable when it's time to make the balance sheets look good though upper mgmt will waste the equivalent of your salary on the daily.

Pros

The people are cool, some of the projects are interesting. Free snacks.

Cons

No real onboarding or mentorship for jr. developers in my experience. They hire jr. devs to do mid-level work with little-to-no guidance. Expect to be thrown into projects with little-to-no help on day one. They strongly encourage you to ask for help whenever you need it, but most employees are too busy to give the help needed. When you ask for help on something big, expect to feel like you're weighing the team down. But when you don't ask for help, also expect to feel like you're weighing the team down. There is a bad overtime culture. What makes this worse is that it's not openly discussed, but heavily implied. Expect to regularly put in extra, unpaid hours--especially if you're a jr. dev. Most projects are for startups, and the company tries to mimic much of the "startup culture". Personally not a fan.
