Pros
- There are video passionate engineers there that can definitely teach you a thing or two about the industry. - Innovative offerings. - High profile customers. - Snacks and drinks on tap.
Cons
- Superb engineers are stuck at their grade level for no apparent reason except for what can be assumed is budget. - Culture rewards both those who were there before the acquisition as well as white engineers. Even the sub communities on Slack behave similarly. - All day complaints and tirades about how horrible Amazon's/AWS' tooling and decisions are. One cannot be pro AWS at AWS Elemental else you will be outcasted.
