I worked in the Marketing Team of Bharti AXA Life Insurance for nearly 3 years. I learnt very little there.
-Management changed every 6 months. Most employees spend time in sycophancy
-The company has not broke-even, which in itself is not a con but you will be made to feel like the company is doing you a favour by keeping you employed and you are the reason for the company's losses.
-Middle management and most of top management spend a lot of time sucking upto each other, running office politics and stall each other's work.
-My department was managed so badly that it got reduced from a healthy 8 member team when I joined to just 2 after I left.
-Insecurity, incompetence and ever changing moods of certain people in my department meant the team spent a lot of time in saving ourselves from tantrums and outbreaks. Work obviously suffered.
-What was worse was the entire HR team right until the top knew the precarious position of the Marketing Team but did nothing to alleviate it. All department heads including the HR department are hand-in-glove with each others' wrongdoing and have each others back. All our complainants went unanswered.
-There are no clear roles. You could be asked to mop the floor in a certain CXO's cabin or pickup groceries for another if your manager thinks it's beneficial to him.
-There is no camaraderie in the company. Everyone including the top management berate the company openly. Everybody is constantly searching for a better job.The attrition is very high.
-Neither the Bharti's or the AXA Group have any expectations from the company which has less than 0.5% market share. It's been in sale perpetually.
Avoid at all costs
