Pros

More freedom compared to banks or other financial institutions. Flexible schedules, opportunity to build your own business/client base. you decide on your clients; who you want to work with and at the end they remain your clients, your relationships, not the institution or other agent

Cons

As an agent you are responsible for all initial fees: hiring, books, licensing and registration, exams. you are given a short time to pass 3 exams, complete the training phase, and meet the minimum requirements in order to contract. From a support role, each branch operates in their own way; they create their own policies. depending on the branch, you either have support OR little to no support and unclear guidelines.
