Pros

Self-promoted environment, very entrepreneurial, ability to be your own boss.

Cons

No lead generation from the firm. Very sink or swim.

Pros

Good company culture, emphasis on keeping employees happy or at least not unhappy, good benefits, good comp, employees treated respectful by managers, increasing commitments to corporate social responsibility, occasionally acknowledging progressive social issues in ways that would not have been expected by a large US insurance company (likely from the new influence of the new parent company AXA)

Cons

Middle management is being more and more micromanaged by AXA management, leading to poor business decisions and inefficiencies. The higher up you are, the more you are affected by AXA’s increasing involvement. Non management positions will feel this too, but more subtle

Pros

Huge potential upside if you work hard and have a good market.

Cons

Benefits are contingent on hitting certain production levels. Many fail.
