Took forever to get kit to do the job, and IT support is dreadful. Induction is non-existent. Doesn’t seem to be a great deal of internal mobility or progression for the majority of people. In many areas pay is well below market rate, leading to attrition and issues attracting talent. Endless red tape and bureaucracy. Everyone (in my department at least) seems to spend most their time in meetings pointlessly speculating and navel-gazing. No real direction from management and subjected to constant flip flopping. Everything I was asked to do felt like it was just dumped on me because no one else could be bothered.

Not great pay - just enough to live on but for such an expensive city it wasn't enough to be able to save any money. Working on the phones meant you have to work shifts and working flexibly wasn't really an option.
