      Profits over people ALWAYS

      Pros

      Somewhat competitive salary considering cost of living in Chicago lower than top tier cities

      Cons

      When push comes to shove, Abbvie will always choose profits over people. Case in point: asking people to return to work and expecting that things go back to "pre-covid" when WE'RE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. Really disappointed that the company always pretends like it has a heart when it should just be honest that all it cares about is MONEY. KA-Ching$$$

      Bad decision making on people they hire

      Pros

      pay was great, profit share was great, benefits and paid time off sick pay

      Cons

      Sups are not all on the same page, Hire people who have no experience but only come in for the benefits than leave after 6 months, and take down good employees with them, Fire people for no reason at all, make up reason to let people go, no proof of why they are firing you, no second changes unless your in the "CLUB" so to speak

      Pros

      Decent benefits, some dedicated and excellent people, some projects can be exciting to work for.

      Cons

      Horrible culture. Managers have no clue on how to manage and create many imbalances and unfair standards and practices. Employees judged by different standards depending on favoritism and which group you work for. Back stabbing dishonest managers with no repercussions for horrible behavior. Highly unprofessional behavior and treatment of employees. Legacy good ole boys club atmosphere, new talent not appreciated, new ideas asked for but frowned upon, lots of "this is how we've always done it attitude." Talks about innovation but stifles it and doesn't reward risk taking. Has very obvious morale issues and only pays lip service to it, brushes problems under the rug instead of seeking ways to fix problems and move forward.
