The Best Company I have ever worked for

Pros

This company offers the greatest benefits, has the best culture, and provides opportunities for growth. How many companies offer full medical/pension/401k at retirement? Abbott puts in 5% for my 2% 401k contribution.

Cons

There is pressure to perform, downsizing, and the company has layoffs (it seems) once per year.

Pros

Great balance between work and personal/family life. Shutdown in December. Friendly coworkers. Lots of resources to help you do what you need to do. Well known company name. Easy to move internally within company.

Cons

Bureaucracy increases the amount of time required to get things finished. Lack of transparency with upper management decisions because of too many layers.
