Benefits are great, and the work is interesting. There is also the intangible value of building something that has a positive effect on peoples health.

Cons

Bad planning and bad communication. Tendency to hire a lot of contractors, so turnover is high.

Most managers I've observed are competent and qualified. Benefits are great in my opinion including generous vacation time. My managers have been accommodating of career interests. Day to day work is decent and generally enjoyable.

Cons

Not too many that aren't going to be encountered with any job.

Cons

No time for training since time is fully occupied. Getting along with manager is the ultimate way to get attention.
