There is definitely a culture of "heirchy" embedded throughout the organization. Very much focused on results / bottom line with little to no regard for the impact long hours, unrealistic expectations is having on hard working, dedicated employees. I saw a pretty high turnover during my tenure due to stress, lack of clarity around roles & responsibilities.

Company no longer cares about employees as it once did. Senior management concerned with short-term perceptions and managing their careers more than managing the business. Despite making various lists of great companies to work for, Abbott is not as well respected as it use to be. The company business model is to purchase other companies with products that can be marketed vs innovation. Would not recommend working at Abbott in IT. Corporate IT culture is VERY toxic since 2015. CIO is not well respected. Expect continued outsourcing and talent loss.
