Pros

You are paid ‘hush money’ and bonuses. Meaning, you are paid to keep your mouth shut and do whatever anyone else tells you is your job.

Cons

Zero work, life balance unless you act with complete disregard for what others think or do Lack of accountability when things go wrong or deliverables are behind Zero interest in improving or fixing broken processes and procedures If you speak up about gaps or inconsistencies, be prepared to be shamed into silence

Pros

Breaks, one hour lunch, nice break room, some nice employees are normal down ovearth.

Cons

Managers have favorites. Mistreated racial motives between higher managers and favorite staffed employees. Prank call and setting up employees to be fired. Is a very disrespectful and evil company from the inside. You can't be different here and you have to be 100 percent happy and gritty at all times you can't be neutral or mono tone anything but peppy Skippy laugh at all the jokes and talk and be corny at all times. You can't be quiet and just work here they will eat you alive and set you up to fail. Managers give false information to people they want to fire or feel they will take their job. Don work hard they will fire you out of fear. Great employees got set up by other departments to get fired. Departments are at war here too. Technical services and quality assurance are like kids arguing. It's always a battle here and it doesn't end.

Pros

The employee engagement activities are nice but theres no interaction. They just give us free food.

Cons

Abbott is one of the worst medical manufacturing company. Division Structural Heart in the department Amplatzer is the worst. The managers, supervisors, and leads are incompetent which is negatively affecting both the work environment and company culture.  The manager is hiring inexperienced and incompetent people placed in charge - the blind leading the blind. The manager and supervisors are also choosing people in their favor to take on more responsibilities and to become leads. They will not hire the experienced, competent, and top performers to become lead nor to give them more responsibilities. Play high in favoritism and politics. Lack of communication. High employee turnover rate and has a toxic work culture. - Teams and individuals are not able to collaborate effectively, let alone to build a high performing organization. - Fail to supply promotions or raises for those with more experience and/or top performers. - Unhealthy work life balance where operators are working overtime regularly. - No proper training, tools, and development opportunities. - The manager and supervisor on first shift was seen in a meeting flirting with eachother. - Everything there seems like it's not working properly from your company badge of not being able to punch in to timecard machines reading your punches incorrectly to bad computer network and programming to poor working conditions in the dry room and more. - All the machines are old with no workplace ergonomics. Employees complain about their fingers, hands, wrist, and backache are hurting. Where is all the money in this department?
