Pros

Flexbile schedule and the ability to cross train with numerous amounts of bioassays. Pay for my former role was competitive considering the location in San Diego. Direct supervisor was a great lead.

Cons

Unfair disciplinary actions in result of conducting extremely biased internal QA audits from personnel who lack the foundational knowledge of the testing/sampling procedures to truly understand the methodologies and functional errors that can occur with devices and instrumentation in the laboratory. But of course, the unfortunate circumstances that occurred was impotent considering the new VP has no true understanding of the assays with addition to unqualified QA conducting their internal review.

Part of a nice helpful close-knit team Helped me to gain in-industry lab experience straight out of university Regular meetings to keep everyone updated on what's going on in the department

Very repataive days Lots of uncompensated overtime required
