Pros

The energy that each teacher brings to the team provides a steady momentum to becoming a better teacher myself. I grow so much as a teacher and a person each day as we chat together in Microsoft Teams and provide useful materials & procedures that we can use in the classroom. The students are engaging in interactive ways (chat box speed drills, real time feedback, safer environment for insecure students to excel and build confidence). Physical issues between students are completely removed, and the classroom management is way more efficient over zoom.

Cons

A lack of recess is a lack of physical game interaction (basketball, playground, running around) but there is time for playing educational games together during breaks or after school hangouts on zoom.

Pros

Team based workplace, data driven results, education for ANY student, and the staff and their opinions are valued. The Academies of Math and Science is a Tucson born school that was created by a highly motivated teacher with an exceptional student being underserved by local schools. This has created a driven and unique plan for successful schools that believe every child should have opportunities afforded to them. The staff at the AMS schools are incredibly valued and given every opportunity to promote within their school and throughout their growing network. Every employee is offered free benefits, exemplary workspace, and endless opportunities for professional development. It truly does not get any better than that.

Cons

Extensive hours are required for optimal results. Plainly put, the harder you work, the more you get, which is not necessarily a con, but required to achieve the goal we all seek for our students.
