Coming from teaching within a public school district here in Arizona for the past 9 years, I wish I'd made this switch years ago. We are a new school, so we are making adjustments and it has been a lot of work for those who started the year here. However, the staff at AMSPA is un-beatable! It has been a long time since I've worked within a school that is this passionate and dedicated to its students. The comradery and kindness on this campus is second to NONE.

Cons

Besides the effort, sweat and patience that goes into building a new school - I do not have a "con."

AMS really caters to people with ambition and looks to employ dedicated individuals who genuinely want to implement positive change. My favorite thing about working for AMS is knowing that it's always in their best interests to try to give me responsibilities that I enjoy and that I'm good at. They understand that we work best when we can do things that we're passionate about, and succeed when we're able to do the things they love. This is what sets AMS apart and why I'm proud to be part of a team that's sure to succeed. Everyone's always giving it their all to make the wheels turn. It's inspiring to be around people who all enjoy their work as much as you do.

Cons

Projects can sometime seem cryptic if you haven't talked with enough people to see the bigger picture. It's nothing that impedes work, but when you're a visionary, you want to know what specific goal you're working towards.
