Pros

Schedule is flexible Pay is good No weekends

Cons

Driving distance is too much - 60miles from office and into Marble Falls. On call shift ( work all day and if primary on call is “busy” you work all night too) Doing an admission (3hrs minimum) at random times, even at night Micromanaging directors are the worse in any job. Health insurance is expensive

Pros

NP autonomy helps strengthen your clinical skills

Cons

Pay, PTO is a hassle and the whole team has to know about it, poorly compensated, no rewards for going above and beyond, all they are interested in is how many patients you can convert to hospice
