Managers could be micro managing. Few projects had micro managers, that made life of developers hell. 1st increment they said I did not complete 1 year, so no increment. 2nd year they said, company is at a loss, and there is no increment. I left the company soon few months later. Getting past initial recruiters are the toughest. Chances are you won't get a callback even if you are skilled. They ignore the resume outright. I have seen candidates who has a better background than me not getting an interview.
