Pros

Accenture attracts some of the most talented grads and allows them to expand on whatever it is they do best. Whether you're happy here or not completely depends on who your managers are and what projects you are on. Everyone can have a very different experience at this company, but no matter what you will come away with a valuable experience.

Cons

The promotion and annual review process is severely lacking. It's a political process that requires the right people backing you at the right time. Very little matters what you did in the past 3 years when promotion time rolls around, it's only the past 6-12 months that matter then. In the meantime, the annual review process is treated as a bell curve so, it's quite difficult to get a very high rating which in turn would give you a higher raise. The process also does not allow you to compare yourself with your peers since your are compared with everyone in the company worldwide.

Pros

You learn a lot, very quickly. The learning curve is high in this industry, and Accenture is no exception. You'll learn more here in your first 6 months than a year at a regular 9-5 kindof job. The people here are also very good. For the most part, I found everyone at Accenture to be competent and intelligent. Not too many slackers.

Cons

They don't care about your career goals. Wherever they need you to be, that's where you go. If you're willing to stick it out for a few years, it can work out because you'll get exposure to a lot of different places, but it can make for some pretty terrible projects. For every person I know who had a nice, regular-hour assignment, I knew someone else who was working 12 hours a day and not getting to clock in overtime.

Pros

You can really make a difference for clients. Now that it's part of Accenture, the client base is huge. In regards to Lean Six Sigma, growing demand far exceeds the supply of consultants. Six SIgma is a very small space within Accenture. Therefore, as a resource the demand issues for our skillset is blessing and a curse!

Cons

Travel is always a negative in regards to work/life balance. Dealing with some of the Accenture folks. The culture of both copanies are very (repeat VERY) different. Not sure how employees in this practice will be ranked relative to those in the traditional pracice areas.
