If you have a soul, stay away

Pros

In the Madison area, they pay better than the majority of other companies in the area. And their benefits are decent for the area as well.

Cons

I can only speak for the Madison, WI office, so other locations might have a different opinion. If you don't have a soul and you can look at the mirror everyday and know that you aren't working on a product that you can be proud of, you can survive here. And survive is probably the best word I can use. If you really care about helping cancer patients to get treatment they need or if you have some dignity, this isn't the place for you. Almost all of the smart people from the TomoTherapy days are long gone. All you have left with are for the most part are people who are clinging on to their jobs because they have nowhere else to go. Now for the good part of this review. They don't treat their employees very well, and they think that every employee is replaceable with someone right out of college or with a contractor. When you speak up about a problem you are called a complainer. They don't trust their employees at all. Managers expect you to work extra on impossible tasks that have impossible schedules. And if you are Madison, you can only rise to a certain level since all of the upper management comes from the headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA.

Pay is good, work environment is not.

Pros

Company is starting to become profitable. I think if you are in the manufacturing area, most people are quite happy.

Cons

The guidance from upper management is change your attitude to be more positive or get out. Management just doesn't get it. To simply tell you to change your attitude but not address the problem will not fix the working environment. If you are not in manufacturing, the work environment is dismal.

Pros

Accuray was generally ok after the merger, they were straight forward about the process and didn't hide anything.

Cons

My position was cut upon completion of the merger, but what was rather depressing was the series of layoffs prior to mine, 7 in total. My team went from 12 down to 2 when I was let go, and there was still a Manger for two people.
