      Excellent Place To Work For

      Pros

      Management at the store I worked for did an excellent job throughout the hiring process and after 6 years I have no regrets with the company.

      Cons

      On the last year that I worked at Ace I had a sudden schedule change without any warning. Granted I was in the middle of fixing up a house and moving out of state. The only other con is that its partly a good ole boy system and you would have to wait on people to die or retire to advance in the company.

      Pros

      It seems to be a great company compared to most. You are treated as an individual, not an employee number. The people are largely great and very helpful! The bonuses and profit sharing are also great!

      Cons

      They can be a bit regressive in how they handle things. If you are interviewing for a manager position there, make sure you ask lots of questions! Most managers have no authority. They are just team leaders. In my year there, I have found it very difficult to make changes or to introduce new ideas.

      Pros

      You are constantly around customers who need help with a problem. If you don't know the answer you work with them until you do. You learn something new everyday whether it be through a customer, research in the store, or co-workers.

      Cons

      I worked at Ace Hardware three years and never got a raise. I only received minimum wage throughout the entirety of my employment.
