      Pros

      Fair compensation for work provided, company tries to keep a historical culture of being friendly and helpful.

      Cons

      The Management level is ridiculous, the managers have no clue what they are doing, almost seem to be promoted after a given timeframe instead of earning a promotion. Executive group has a plan, communication downward does not flow smoothly. The company is run on the fear of the RSCs instead of best for business.

      Pros

      Helping customers who seek out their "favorite Ace Man"; being recognized all over this island; being on a local TV station representing Ace. Training helped me be able to help homeowners achieve their goals, which feels good. Ace has been good at helping out employees who have family or health issues arise that interfere with work for periods of time.

      Cons

      After 20 years with Ace I was told Iʻd reached the top of their pay scale at $10.25/hr. They also do schedule changes without asking or warning employees, making appointments and such difficult to make/keep, or shared transportation tricky, etc. They not only do schedule changes without asking/informing, but expect employees to keep checking for such--and at times even when an employee is out for the day, so then goes to work the following day even though they are not expected--or their time was changed.

      Pros

      It seems to be a great company compared to most. You are treated as an individual, not an employee number. The people are largely great and very helpful! The bonuses and profit sharing are also great!

      Cons

      They can be a bit regressive in how they handle things. If you are interviewing for a manager position there, make sure you ask lots of questions! Most managers have no authority. They are just team leaders. In my year there, I have found it very difficult to make changes or to introduce new ideas.
