Pros

Lovely people to work with.

Cons

Owners take advantage of all of the employees by not paying even close to a living wage, despite the huge increase in hardware store sales over the last several years (due to the pandemic). Most of us are doing the work of multiple people, while making less than a teenager mowing a lawn. There is zero pay transparency and zero pay equality. The living wage in this area is $19.20 and we are paid closer to half of that. An employee working a full 40 hours a week, should be able to afford basic needs, healthcare, bills, rent/mortage, but that is simply not a possibility with their wages.

Pros

Good bonus program Decent benefits and wellness program Good people

Cons

Leadership is based on longevity rather than if they are a fit for the role and people who shouldn’t be managers are. Pay is decent but not great. Seems like they have big dreams for what they want to do but there isn’t a plan to get to them or it’s a short lived plan.

Pros

good pay and routine work

Cons

Middle management gave it their all in the orientation Process. Benefits, 401k, advancement opportunities, incentive programs, mOnThLy BiNgO. Inevitably, they had to hand their newly fluffed flock over to the leads. Who, when the warehouse doors close, operate with a certain level of despair against middle management and are just happy to be out of the herd. It was impossible to ignore the undertone of toxicity within the workplace. Supervisors had no goal to strive for your shift start, meetings were skimmed through. Politics were heavily apparent between certain personalities regardless of position. From an operations standpoint the place seemed to be tripping over itself. Disorganized slots (putting several different gloves of the same brand in different isles), sharp loose unwrapped items placed chest high in bins without lips, and constant disconnections with the vocolex system. It only took 20 minutes with lower management to understand just how hard I hit the nail on the head and just how constricted they are.
