Pros

So far my time has been great. I have developed great new skillsets, have learned sales/marketing, and have gotten out my comfort zone. Also, I enjoy the mentorship and guidance I’ve received, not just being thrown into a position without coaching. My Corporate Trainer did exactly what I was learning and it made me comfortable knowing I was learning from someone who had experience.

Cons

It was an adjustment being around people who were that positive early in the morning. I’m used to the first couple hours of the day being slow paced.

It's wonderful to hear that you've had a positive experience so far at the company, and that you've been able to develop new skills, learn about sales and marketing, and step out of your comfort zone. Mentorship and guidance are invaluable in any role, and it's great to hear that you've had a supportive Corporate Trainer to learn from. Adjusting to a positive and energetic environment, especially early in the morning, can be a change for some, but it's good to challenge yourself and embrace new experiences. Keep up the great work and continue to grow and learn in your role!

Pros

New projects are always underway. In just over the year I’ve been here I’ve been able to help manage 2 major new Clients and help launch a variety of new marketing campaigns. With this has brought many travel opportunities to learn from industry leaders to help grow not only our company but my own professional network. I appreciate the fast paced environment since i’m not one that is satisfied feeling stagnant in the same old same old.

Cons

Some days are longer than others but ultimately time with this company has flown by with all the growth the company has recently seen

Pros

Gave me the opportunity to prove to myself that I can persevere through anything

Cons

This job was an absolute roller coaster for me mentally and I'm honestly surprised I stuck it out as long as I did. Everything about it was misleading from the start: while the interviewer was extremely professional, they conveniently left out that this was a face-to-face sales position which was not what I applied for. The only reason I looked past this red flag was because I had been struggling to find a job as a new grad and felt pressure to start working as soon as possible. It didn't take me long to notice signs that this job wasn't as advertised. After a couple days of training, I was told the night before that I would be working in another market for a whole week. Looking back, this was most likely done to drive my numbers up and make me buy into the promises of a lucrative career there. The new start bonus that sounded so amazing at first turned out to hinge on parts of a sale that I hadn't even learned yet. Management attempted to sell me on the possibility of owning my own company one day, but I've since learned that you never truly own anything within the larger corporation that is Smart Circle. I had no aspirations of doing so and because I was honest my hours began to change more sporadically and even decrease. If I didn't meet my goals for the week, I was told that it was because I wasn't working hard enough and didn't prepare for my day properly. Not everyone can get up at 5:30, come into the office at 7:30, work 10-6 up to an hour and a half away with unpaid travel expenses, and then come back to the office for team night from 8-9 while maintaining a level of urgency in the field that is expected of you in this position. But I did it all and still ultimately chose to leave to maintain my sanity. The false promises and gaslighting that this company is built upon is honestly despicable and I hope everyone associated with taking advantage of people with no corporate experience, many of which are essentially high schoolers, get what they deserve. This type of company should not even exist and the business that allows it to prosper represents the ugliest side of capitalism.

We are disappointed to hear about the challenges and frustrations you faced during your time at the company. We understand the importance for companies to provide accurate information and support to their employees to ensure a positive and fulfilling work environment. This is why we implement a multiple-round interview process, as well as new employee orientation, to ensure the responsibilities of the roles at Acquire are clear. We encourage employees to speak with our management team if they feel the work environment does not align with their values. We acknowledge your perspective and the experience you had with Acquire. However, upon reviewing the details of your role and tenure with the company, we find that some aspects of your review may be misleading. While we value your feedback and apologize for any negative experiences you encountered, we believe that certain statements in the review are inaccurate and exaggerated, such as the mention of "many of which are essentially high schoolers." A closer examination of our online presence would reveal that this particular assertion, along with others in the review, does not align with the reality of our organization.
