Pros

I've never worked at a company that cares about its employees as much as ActiveNav. They support you with your work, learning, and any other part of your career or life that they can assist with. They use modern development practices and architectures to develop an Azure-based microservices system which is fun to learn and work on and the team themselves are amazing to work with - you'll always find someone there who can help you solve an issue you're having (coding or otherwise).

Cons

None from my time working there at all, I only left because of relocation!

Pros

There is a strong commitment to software quality within ActiveNav. The need to create functional and maintainable software is well understood amongst leadership and business stakeholders, so there is never pressure applied to cut corners. Agile Development methodology is deeply ingrained in how ActiveNav works and genuinely drives development team decision making and stakeholder interactions. There is a deep and broad base of software engineering experience within the company, making it easy to find the right person to collaborate with when tackling any given task. ActiveNav has a supportive culture, encouraging professional development and growth. The culture of the company also encourages open and honest communication, both across department lines and throughout business hierarchy.

Cons

ActiveNav has a couple of core products, of which the older one is tied into its current technology. If you are in a team working on that product, while there is occasional opportunity to branch out and experiment on peripheral projects, a significant majority of your time will be spent working in this stack.
