Pros

Good people on contributor level

Cons

Fundamental problems with having to deliver so much to appease C level but not having resource, so stretching existing resource thin. Funding is throttled by upper management. Focus is delivery and numbers, sacrifices numerous other factors, employee growth etc. No apparent care for employee well being or culture, HR are seemingly there to protect the company and shut down suggestions for improvement. Direction of division meandering with no clear direction communicated.

We see that your are no longer part of our team but appreciate you sharing this feedback. At Activision Blizzard, it is important to us that people can grow here as professionals. One way we do that is by providing employees with development opportunities at all levels; if employees feel that these needs are not being met, they are encouraged to share their concerns with their HR partner or manager. Additionally, the wellbeing of our work force is a top priority, which is why we go above and beyond to offer employees a wide range of health benefits and support, and we have significantly increased these offerings since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you again for sharing this feedback, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Industry leader with massive following of users and nearly unlimited resources

Cons

Poor leadership - little to no communication Poor compensation - lopsided and most top-heavy in the industry Tons of corporate red-tape and no smooth processes between entities (Activision and Blizzard operate separately but want to work together)

Thank you for this feedback. We appreciate you taking the time and hope you continue to share important feedback like this in our listening sessions, pulse surveys and by talking directly your manager. Please know that we are actively working to address concerns like yours. We have taken steps to create a compensation structure that reflects our diverse set of roles across all business units, and regularly review our salary rates to ensure they remain competitive within the industry. We take a similar approach to all our employee programs and offerings and continuously work to improve our employee experience. That said, meaningful change may take time, but we’re committed to creating an environment that best serves our employees – and, in turn, our players – around the world. Pros

Welcoming: Almost everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful, regardless of their level/rank within the organization. Strong business: There is a good amount of stability in the organization and they've made great strategic acquisitions to help grow the business.

Cons

Long hours: While the hours fluctuate throughout the year, the busy times are extremely busy with 10-12+ hour days and some time commitments on the weekend as well. Limited career growth opportunities: Advancement can be difficult with the preference seeming to be to fill open positions with outside talent vs. internal promotions.
