Pros

When you first start, you first shadow another behavior interventionist so you don't dive in first with no experience. Then there is a BCBA supervisor that guides you, so the environment that they cultivate is very helpful! After that, you are usually alone with the client, but if you need any help, you can always contact your BCBA. I found this experience to be very enriching and rewarding. You can also make your own schedule with the clients' guardians' availability.

The supervisors were very supportive and understanding. They took the time to listen to your concerns or questions and do their best to resolve them. The office staff were also understanding and addressed your concerns in a timely manner. Overall, I felt supported when working at Acuity.

Cons

Your schedules are inconsistent and you are not paid if the client cancels, but this is typical within the industry.
