      Decent first-job experience, poor management, and complete lack of work-life balance

      Pros

      Good exposure to health policy, allows you to get involved and to have a lot of responsibility very quickly. Coworkers are incredibly intelligent and kind people aside from the occasional snide comment made by data analysts who think they're smarter than writer/coordinators.

      Cons

      The salary is "okay" for the bay area but for the number of hours worked and compared to the rate other "consulting" firms pay their employees it's lacking. Work hours are OFTEN extreme, but this may depend on the team you're working in. Would often work 12 hour days plus commuting home. The issue with working late too is that if you don't have a vehicle you have to uber to BART, which happens very often, and that is not reimbursed by the company so it becomes a significant expense.

      Pros

      - flexible hours/periodic work from home benefits (dependent on manager) - smart co-workers at lower levels - good introduction to SAS (not any other programming language)

      Cons

      - below market pay for bay area
