Pros

Petabytes of healthcare data ready to be analyzed. Laid-back work atmosphere of silicon valley but with east-coast clients and interesting problems. Smart, dedicated, educated, and passionate co-workers. Success is mostly self-determined with opportunities for promotions/salary increases. Decent perks and responsive organizational development group.

Cons

Management is hit and miss where some managers are good at providing opportunities to their employees while others are more interested in themselves. Work can be unpredictable on some projects due to incompetent clients and/or under-prepared project managers.

Pros

I just attended our all-employee meeting and it was great. There were lots of different project teams presenting what they work on and the impact of their work. Happy hour afterward was great too!

Cons

I wish I could have attended more of the presentations! I have been here for 4 months and this was the first opportunity to learn about what other groups work on, I wish this event had happened sooner.

Pros

A great place for new graduates looking to gain experience by doing a wide array of very interesting and rewarding work, all the while developing marketable and profitable skills and a sense of achievement. Acumen also shows an interest in employee feedback, and makes changes accordingly. Acumen also offers different career paths depending on employee skills and preferences.

Cons

Less than optimal location for commuters. Progress as an employee within the firm can feel a bit sluggish at times. You may wind up working on projects that do not take advantage of your skill set and limit your learning potential.
