Pros

I’ve only been here for a short time so far, but I’ve been continually impressed by Adaptive’s extensive onboarding process and the amount of detail that goes into their training. This is by far the most organized lab I’ve worked in so far, everyone is welcoming and friendly across all departments, lots of free snacks, and an overall sense of belonging. Was also very impressed with the company’s pride month activities and representation, very LGBTQ+ friendly!

Cons

The parking in Eastlake is horrendous, not really their fault but I would recommend looking into your commute and seeing what/if public transportation is a viable option.

• Mission-driven company • Positive real-world impactful work • Smart, hard-working employees • Cutting edge technology • Most leaders are very genuine and fairly transparent (less politics)

Cons

• Growth mode required pivoting quickly and possibly scraping projects on the fly • Early talent acquisition function that was tangled within HR responsibilities • (in my experience) Challenging leader who was inflexible and toxic at times o Experience led said leader to hire someone who agreed with their decisions and pushed current team to “adapt or leave” • Unlimited PTO was very rigid depending on who your direct manager was

Wonderful work environment. Caring management, engaged staff, low drama, upper management does a good job trying to find solutions.

Cons

Hours are not flexible & the work-life balance isn't the best. Sometimes it is difficult to gain career momentum and move out of the lab.
