Pros
- Smart people with good intentions - Good tools used for developing software and managing information - Employees have an opportunity to seize a problem area and make a huge impact if they want to, which can be satisfying
Cons
- Lots of politics, especially at the leadership level - Lots of questionable promotions into high levels / and or hiring of people into upper management level roles - Career advancement or compensation is not necessarily tied to your contributions; there are people who make an impact and do great work, but aren't rewarded - In terms of engineering issues, there is a lot of tech debt
