Usually steady work, base pay received even during low census

Cons

Lack of nursing, uncompensated time for meetings, 4 on call holidays, 10 on call weekends. The 401k match is paltry.

Pros

Was a friendly environment. Hospice is a wonderful field to work in. They provide good care to patients.

Cons

During my time there was no limit on how many patients you could have. You see a lot of people neglected in nursing homes. The hospice is "for Profit", and not incentivized for patient's or employee's well-being you may be salaried and work extra hours without extra pay
