Pros

You get to know many people and make some new friends. The feeling that you've helped someone to stay in their home so they don't have to go to a care home.

Cons

Dead end, low paying job. There's no way to advance unless you are a relative or you're a pet of management. Management is always short staffed.Management never calls when there's a cancellation. No schedule you can access. You have to keep schedule in your head or make your own. When a client passes away or leaves Addus you have no idea what has happened to that client. You have to be able to compartmentalize your emotions so you don't get hurt.

Treat employees well, Compensation is adequate, Niche program in healthcare market

Cons

Disorganization in upper management. Great ideas on the future of healthcare but no execution to get these ideas to materialize into a concrete plan.
