Pros

I was torn for a long time on if I should leave a review or not. My thought was I moved on, no need to leave a review. After speaking with last co-workers I decided I should.

Cons

The reviews on it being high school are 100% true. There is a group of recruiters that only talk to each other. They get unlimited time off, different perks than the others. Those recruiters are very exclusive. They can do no wrong. Therapy side. You will either get the GOOD mentor or the BAD mentor. You know day 1 which one is which. The GOOD one is fantastic. She is not part of elite pack of favorites. She will always answer your questions, she is there every day early and late. I feel like she actually cares about helping. I would say her name but some how the company will turn it around. I hope Advanced knows how much she is valued, and needs more people like her. The BAD one, is not helpful and part of the elite group. She has a bad attitude, she has been there longer than the other one. If she does ‘t like you, you are on your own. So ask for help from anyone who will listen. Ask the good mentor, even if she isn’t on your team she will help. The company micro manages you on things that are out of your hands. The company goals are semi realistic, as long as you have good luck. Some recruiters are just lucky, others do everything right but for many reasons things fall through. The company only cares about their $$. Don’t you dare ask to work from home. That too is only for the elite group of 6. Everyone else use your non existent PTO. There are a million other companies better than this one. That actually care about your work life balance, and your success. This company only wants those that can produce and then you are disposal. Last warning! There is no notice here, if you leave your last day is when you give notice. So get your other job lined up before. They spy on your computer so careful what you say /look at. They will use it against you later. Not worth it. Be wary of the 5 star reviews I bet they are all fake. Weird how it is only 5 stars or 1 star non are in the middle.

We are sorry to hear this was your experience. We have never denied a request to change mentors. We understand that people connect in different ways, our leadership does their best to pair new employees with a mentor they feel comfortable with. Our Colorado office has a fun vibrant culture that being said we see many long lasting friendships emerge. This is the first we've heard of exclusivity and we will certainly work to ensure everyone feels welcome and part of the team.

Pros

Earning Potential Culture can be relaxed, and fun at times Talented, hard working co-workers

Cons

Leadership located in other markets make final decisions concerning the region's production, and what kind of opportunities there are for lateral and upward movement in each office. The senior leadership are not visible nor accessible to employees located across the US. Everything must be earned. A desk move, a rare hour off for a physician's visit, and even adding an additional holiday to the company holiday list. The additional holiday, Friday after Thanksgiving was tied to company-wide production otherwise we worked. This company breathes expendable employees. Read reviews buried deeper and as these reviews attest, favouritism and continual politics trigger brown-nosing and lack of transparency. Recruiters operate under a shroud of fear. Finally, there is a level of surveillance of employee sentiment which is creepy and creates a lack of trust amongst employees. There is no room for suggestions for improvement unless the suggestion is made by a Senior Recruiter which is a small percentage of Advanced's workforce. The expectation is that everyone remains positive, and drinks the Advanced Koolaid as they watch fellow co-workers exit each week. Unfortunately, Advanced Sioux Falls recruits a lot of hardworking South Dakotans who value authenticity too much to be successful in this type of culture.
