Pros

1. Has social gatherings, company events 2. Mid-year and Christmas bonus 3. Flexi-time (Can time in from 6:30 to 9:30 AM GMT +8) 4. Offers 2 WFH every week 5. Opportunity to learn Nihongo 6. Good stepping stone for career shifters or fresh graduates

Cons

1. Compensation is relatively low compared to industry standards. 2. The average salary increase for most employees is approximately Php 2,000. 3. Employees hired as ACTION trainees are required to complete a two-year bond. 4. Promotions are not solely performance-based, as they heavily depend on obtaining JLPT or other technical certifications. 5. The office environment requires improvement, as many tables and chairs are damaged, the workspace appears outdated and poorly maintained, and there are reported pest issues (mice and cockroaches). 6. Some company-issued laptops are outdated and lack the performance capacity required for project demands. 7. Certain senior team members or project leads demonstrate limited technical expertise, resulting in junior developers resolving issues independently without sufficient guidance. 8. The company lacks a structured retention plan for tenured or senior staff, contributing to turnover and increased hiring of junior developers. 9. Management demonstrates limited flexibility in granting additional work-from-home arrangements during inclement weather or emergencies once weekly WFH credits have been exhausted. 10. Not everyone has the opportunity to be assigned to Japan, especially if their department does not offer overseas transfers, making it not entirely performance-based. 11. Employees who are assigned to Japan are required to fulfill a one-year bond upon returning to the Philippines.
