LDA Program Review

Pros

Big Company - lots of room to move arround if you'd like (although it often helps to know the right people). The program also gives you lots of cross-training and access to company leadership. CAUTION: Beware of these LDA reviews - the company required us to review the program on here....!

Cons

Program pretty much forces you to relocate anywhere in the US - with no promise of a full-time job after the program is over. You get a small relocation stipend and a fairly low pay to start. They also don't fully tell you what you'll be expected to do as part of the program. This results in a pretty high turnover rate. I literally spent 3 days a week for almost a year crawling on a grocery store floors to rotate products. I'd be more likely to recommend the company overall then the LDA program. It was a rough year for me to get through, and although I got a job in the end, I'm not sure I'd go through the process again.

Pros

Can be room for advancement of you know the right people, but you HAVE to know the right people.

Cons

- More job expectations and requirements by the day, you can have 15 things you MUST have done one day, but the next you find out it was supposed to be 45 without anyone telling you. -Inconsistent communication, supervisors are told to do one thing and it changes the next day. Upper management changes their minds more than they change their underwear. -Management is consistently trying to run off part time employees with threats of no hours if they do not do what is asked of them. -The only things written down on any paperwork is only the bad even if it was from a clear lack of training. Things like going the extra mile of never considered. -There is zero training for new supervisors! -Management constantly says they care about a work life balance but anyone in middle management knows upper cares about their work life balance; proof is many new jobs come out and it is communicated during off hours, weekends, and Holidays. -Salary management cannot take vacation during the beginning of the year. (Speaking of vacations... there is no such thing as vacations, if you travel somewhere you must take your laptop or you will be help accountable for the time you were gone.) -Supervisors are held accountable for things out of their control many part time employees will not go the extra mile if you threaten them. -There is a new threat around the corner everyday, don't have this done written up, don't get that done in the next hour write up, can't hire new people because of another department it's a write up! -All hiring is done by another department in which supervisors have no pull, need 10 people to get your number from being the worst...? Too bad you get no one and still written up because you are supposed to be able to clone employees to do management's bidding. -When part time employees are let go for any reason it is made to seem that it was purely the Supervisor with no due process leaving the supervisor with violent threats, harassing phone calls, and a possible investigation due to a disgruntled employee's claims. There is so much more... if you have the opportunity to work here RUN... RUN FAR and RUN FAST!
